Charles DiFerdinando inspects the 1870s Joy Cabin on the Museum grounds. The cabin was moved to the Museum grounds in 1988. Suffering structural damage and rotting wood, the cabin required extensive restoration. Charles took axe and adze in hand to do that restoration.
Jeff Johnson admires a print of a Russell Steele painting of the Durango depot. Jeff is a long-time resident of La Plata County and began his 25 year railroad career on the Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad.
Caroline Kinser, Treasurer, studies the 1910 map of Durango and Animas City at the Museum. Not only does the map tell an interesting story but it was donated to the Historical Society by a friend of Caroline.
