Materials: cotton, red wool ties

Techniques: pieced by hand and machine, tied

Block pattern: Unequal Nine Patch with large center square (similar to Brackman #2023)

Gift of Dr. Helen Ruth Aspaas

Catalog Number: 10.28.12

The Aspaas family used this comforter for many years at their ranch in Breen. When it was considered too worn for use, it served as a cover for the ranch cats’ winter quarters on the front porch.
